Recently, founder and managing partner of LuatViet, Tran Duy Canh, along with partners Huck Thanh Nguyen and Nguyen Phuong Trinh, met with Virginie Sintrat, of the UK law firm Harvey Ingram LLP, to discuss exciting opportunities that the two firms may embark on in the near future.
Virginie Sintrat, a member of Harvey Ingram's Corporate Finance & Transactions team initiated discussions with LuatViet regarding the possible association of the two firms to develop an international relationship to further benefit their clients.
LuatViet and Harvey Ingram LLP have agreed to work together to develop a program that will benefit their commercial clients and build on opportunities created by Vietnam joining the World Trade Organisation. The two firms will shortly be announcing some exciting new initiatives and will be holding discussions with clients on how they can benefit from the collaboration.
“LuatViet is a leading provider of legal services in Vietnam and works with a number of firms in Asia, whilst Harvey Ingram is a UK law firm with major transactional work in Europe,” said Virginie. “Both firms define themselves as client-orientated and work towards being trusted business partners, as well as legal advisers.”
“This is an exciting time for both law firms,” said Huck. “With Harvey Ingram’s experience, professionalism and dedication to personalize legal services throughout the UK and Europe, we share the same fundamental values and feel an association between the two firms would substantially benefit all of our clients.”
Tran Duy Canh, managing partner, said that being associated with a firm that provides quality legal and business solutions throughout the UK and Europe can only enhance our ability to serve our clients on a global basis. The association is also in line with our key objective of aligning our firm with global partners to provide a higher level of legal services to our clients.
“As our global village becomes more open and accessible, both firms should expect to see an injection of a wide variety of businesses in our respective countries. This association should provide a great foundation for the inter-exchange of information and assistance.
John Stobart, partner, who heads up the Corporate Finance & Transactions team, said “Vietnam is one of the rapidly emerging Asian economies and already supplies textiles and footwear to some of the firm's major clients. Its entry into the World Trade Organisation will mean exciting opportunities,” he said. “Co-operation with leading firms across Asia is a key element of our Corporate Finance & Transaction team's business plan and this is one example of how we are progressing our strategy. We see ourselves as a strong regional firm in the Midlands and we are developing a number of initiatives which build on our depth of experience here in a number of sectors and which we hope to be able to announce later this year.”
